The PRINCE2® Practitioner course is a comprehensive three day event that provides a detailed understanding of the method and prepares candidates for the Practitioner examination.
The course is intensive and includes case study exercises that delegates undertake in order to practise using the elements of PRINCE2® as they learn them. Sample Practitioner examination questions are also included during the day and as evening work. The evening work is up to one hour each day to consolidate the day’s learning and prepare for the examination.
Prerequisites
Delegates must already hold a PRINCE2® Foundation certificate. Each delegate is required to bring to the course his or her own copy of the official manual “Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2®®” for reference during both the course and the examination.
Who should attend?
The course is suitable for anyone who has previously been trained to Foundation level, passed the Foundation examination and now needs to know PRINCE2® to a level of being able to use it on their projects. This includes Project Managers, Team Managers, plus Project Support and Assurance staff. It is also useful for Project Board members where the project is particularly large or complex or if they are involved in a multi-project environment and need a detailed understanding of the method.

Delegates are sent a copy of the APMG Practitioner Examination Candidate Guidance document along with their joining instructions. They are asked to read through this document to give them prior knowledge of the examination before attending the course. Each delegate is required to bring to the course his or her own copy of the official manual “Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2®” for reference during both the course and the examination.
