Overview:
The PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner course combines both foundation and Practitioner. This provides a full detailed understanding of the method and prepares candidates for both Foundation and Practitioner examinations. It also covers necessary understanding required to pass the PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner exam providing a professionally recognised qualification in project management.
It provides those responsible for planning and managing projects with a structure that will help them without imposing too much bureaucracy, or stifling creativity. Senior managers are also provided with the means to control and direct projects effectively, based on appropriate and timely management information.
Prerequisites
No prior knowledge of PRINCE2® is expected, other than having read the Summary of PRINCE2® document. It is also expected that delegates will have some knowledge or experience or working in a project environment.
Who should attend?
The course is suitable for anyone who needs to know PRINCE2® to a level of being able to use it on their projects. This includes Project Managers, Team Managers, plus Project Support and Assurance staff. It is also useful for Project Board members where the project is particularly large or complex or if they are involved in a multi-project environment and need a detailed understanding of the method.

Precourse Reading
Delegates are sent a Summary of PRINCE2® document along with their joining instructions. This thirty-three page document provides a start point for the understanding of the structure and content of the method. Together with this document delegates are also sent a copy of the APMG Foundation and Practitioner Examination Candidate Guidance documents. Delegates are asked to read through these documents to give them a head start before attending the course. Each delegate will receive their own copy of the official manual “Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2®” on the first day of the course.
